Sime Darby Property Accelerates Industrial Real Estate Expansion with Major Projects

Sime Darby Property Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading property developers, has been aggressively expanding its industrial real estate portfolio with several landmark projects launched in 2025 and 2026, reinforcing its position as a key player in Malaysia’s booming industrial sector.

Elmina Business Park 2 — A New Industrial Landmark in Rawang

In January 2026, Sime Darby Property launched Elmina Business Park 2, marking its strategic entry into Rawang in the Northern Klang Valley. Spanning approximately 600 acres with a total gross development value of RM1.72 billion, the project offers a diverse mix of freehold industrial land lots and ready-built factories.

The maiden phases — Phase 1A and 1B — introduced 19 freehold industrial land lots and have already achieved an impressive 70% take-up rate, reflecting strong investor confidence. The development features 72 units of semi-detached factories and industrial lots ranging from 2 to 4 acres, with flexible Built-to-Suit and Built-to-Lease options catering to both local SMEs and multinational corporations.

Strategically located with a dedicated Lagong interchange along the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), the park offers seamless connectivity to LATAR, DASH, and NKVE highways — making it a prime logistics hub.

Next-Gen Industrial Corridor in Kuala Selangor

In November 2025, Sime Darby Property and SD Guthrie Berhad announced a 50:50 joint venture to develop a next-generation industrial and logistics hub spanning 3,000 acres in Kuala Selangor, Selangor. This mega development is set to become one of Malaysia’s most significant integrated industrial projects.

Vision Business Park — Strengthening Negeri Sembilan’s Industrial Hub

Under the Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV2.0) framework, Sime Darby Property has also broken ground on Vision Business Park (VBP) in Negeri Sembilan, spanning 760 acres with an expected GDV of RM2.4 billion, anticipated to generate 15,000 job opportunities and boost the state’s economic growth.
